Metallica's WorldWired Tour @ Hard Rock Stadium
On July 7, Metallica’s WorldWide Tour swept into the Hard Rock Stadium. With the two opening bands Volbeat and Avenge Sevenfold, the crowd was warmed up and ready to hear the band that has been doing it since 1981. The stage was TALL. The backdrop was all screens for image display and it was impressive. The fans who had special spots right up next to the stage would not need their glasses to see anything. Neither would the fans in the back.
Showing nothing but love Hetfield said, “We don’t care who you are, what your race or creed is. If you’re here, you’re family — you’re part of the Metallica family,” The crowd responded with a loud roar of approval. The sound matched the view, BIG! People may have had ringing in their ears for a little while after the show. No one was complaining, it was full on play and slay. Metallica showed that they are old pros at this. The stage was wide, it came out into the crowd and no one in the band just stood in one spot. They moved, rand and jetted all over the stage, all while never missing a beat. It has been years since I have seen Metallica in concert and I think from what I saw, the fans would like to hit the rewind button and see the show all over again. Big screen, big music, big music, big band.
